Amy Staska
Ïã½¶´«Ã½'s vice president, Ïã½¶´«Ã½ University
Amy has been with Ïã½¶´«Ã½ since August of 2011 and previously worked for the association from 1996 to 2004. Amy has worked in training and education her entire career, including at Awana Clubs International—a nondenominational children's and youth Christian ministry—and the University of New Hampshire.
At Ïã½¶´«Ã½, Amy started her work in health and safety; her initial projects were helping to author Ïã½¶´«Ã½'s first Safety Manual and Toolbox Talks. As part of the education department, Amy has helped with the startup of the Future Executives Institute, shaping and teaching For Foremen Only, and implementing the growing ProForeman certificate program.
Amy's responsibilities include working with the education department and Ïã½¶´«Ã½ University committees to ensure all Ïã½¶´«Ã½ University offerings are well-developed, thorough and meet member needs.
Jon Goodman
Ïã½¶´«Ã½ Roofing subject matter expert
Jon has been with Ïã½¶´«Ã½ since February 2018. He attended Sonoma State University, graduating with a degree in industrial management.
Goodman worked for Hewlett-Packard in production management and from there, he went on to own a roofing contracting company. He also worked as a consultant for the National Center for Construction Education and Research where he assisted with the development of its roofing and solar installer curricula.
Goodman is Ïã½¶´«Ã½â€™s subject matter expert and a ProCertification assessor. He helped develop and write training manuals for Ïã½¶´«Ã½â€™s Training for Roof Application Careers program and is an instructor for various Ïã½¶´«Ã½ educational classes such as Roof Design Considerations, Roof Repair Maintenance, Foreman Leadership Training and Qualified Trainer Conference.
